It is amazing how you can go through so many things and you find out where people really stand.
Involved in helping with all the clean-up, food kitchens, donation centers, and prayer time, I found my personal life falling apart. I stepped down from design teams to help get my priorities in check.
I found that I my family was missing me becuase even through I was helping others (along with the kids), we were not really working together as a family. I have a strong faith and so of course I turned to prayer and really asked God to help direct me where I needed to be.
I still love crafting and I LOVE all the friends I have made - but I found I was missing out on some things by spending a good half my life in it. I found that I love to volunteer where I can and I find it important to keep family involved in volunteering as well so we don't get big heads about ourselves.
You will see this blog evolve as I will still be crafting - just on a much smaller level.
I will be using it to help organizations with the things I create and to give visibility to these organizations as well.
I will also be showing you some of the other things in my life that have changed and the other things that I create from it. This blog will be mine again.
Thanks for hanging in and I can't wait to show you some crafty things I will be making for a couple different benefits coming up for different causes.
Good on you Molly. We get one shot at each and every one of our allotted days. Sometimes a nudge or a jolt to our life can make us examine our circumstances and situation as you have been doing.

ReplyDeleteHey Molly! I just wanted to let you know that you and your family and town have been in my thoughts a lot over the past several weeks. The other day, I was driving through our down town area trying to imagine what it would be like if that happened to our community. I couldn't. Please know that you are lifted up. It is amazing how God can put our lives and priorities into the correct order through trials. He will use you and the talents he has given you to bring honor and glory to HIM. I look forward to reading more about how you allow God to use you and your family for His good work. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteHi, Molly, Good for you!! When faced with situations like that in addition to scripture, I remember the words of one of my favorite passages:
ReplyDelete"If a man cannot keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he marches to the beat of a different drummer. Let him step to the beat that he hears, no matter how strained or far away." All the best! I found you at Outlawz. Love your blog!!!
