Taking It Back

This card is one of my first ever made.  It is back when Loads of Love was a new stamp set and the brilliant bright family was all I ever used.  Man have things changed!!  What was your favorite stamp set and colors to stamp with when you first started? My first party was in my one room apartment and we were stamping on my counter tops while standing, sitting on the floor with the coffee table....ahhh...good times!  Also know that I will be looking into a light tent as for some reason my picture taking ability has gone down hill??

Everything here is Stampin' Up!

  2. It is still acute sentiment and image Molly. My first stamp was a little Christmas elf tangled in lights and a Merry Christmas word stamp. My class and I thought we were pretty clever. But when we discovered embossing powder and Happy Mother's Day we were delighted. Funny what we remember isn't it? One of my favourite stamps says "We do not remember days but moments" and how true is that!

  7. My memory fails me as to my first stamp and first card.......but I definitely know I have improved on what I did since then....lol.

  8. haha...too fun! I happen to still love bright and beautiful colors! But aren't we all glad that pallettes change from time to time. About 18 months after my grandmother passed, my grandfather invited me to go through her craft closet and take what I liked. Well, after taking some embossing powder, heat tool, old ink pads and some loose stamps, I quickly realized that this was not going to be enough for me! So, I contacted a friend, who informed me that she was a SU demo...who shared her discount. And...as it happened to be...SAB! haha. So,,,shhhh...I had my own party and got all those free sets. I can honestly say that I made BAD decisions b/c I was trying to get a little of each style. And back then, SU had so many! haha. It's alwasy so great to see these well loved sets. Thanks for bringing it up again!
