Blog Surfing & Christmas

So today I have scheduled in a break in my busy work day to blog surf becuase I am dreadfully behind due to the crash of my home computer...I plan to be caught up and to get back in the swing of the normal by the weekend!!
So Christmas was on my mind....can you tell??
Shopping has officially started so maybe that is why...hmmm
***Can anyone tell me where to get one of the ligh tents so my pictures turn out better???

Ladies - please do not forget to visit my favorite couple of websites - you won't be upset that you spent your time doing so:
Fun-Frilled - the theme this week has to do with Memorial Day
Michelle - her cards are always amazing and she has the cutest Monkey card on yesterday's post
Digiments - a great new sentiment line - I ordered all the releases so far for a mere $20.00 and will be using them all next week!

  1. I like all of your cards, but you are freaking me out a little...I'll never be ready in time ;) As for a Photo tent, I found a good tutorial. The link's kind of long, so I'll post it in our Paper Dolls Chat area if that's okay!

  7. I would love a light tent but am too cheap to buy one! I don't have much craft money and prefer to spend it on stamps. I use a white piece of foam core board (super cheap) and some white tissue that you put in gift bags. I have under counter light in my kitchen and I set up my shot there, but if you don't have that you can pick up one of those little desk lamps that have the flexible neck and get some good light bulbs, like Reveal (I think that's the name). I call it my redneck light box but it works ok. I have photoshop elements and use that to correct any lighting issues too. Maybe someday I can get a light tent...

    Love your Christmas cards too!

  8. Christmas shopping ahead of time…a girl after my own heart. I shop year-round and am done by my birthday 10/5 and start wrapping on 10/6…working mom’s know how to get sh*t done – woooooooo!! I use this photo box: http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/301660023.htm - - have it in my garage and I have been told my pictures are good. I have also heard that you can get deals on these things on Ebay so you might want to check that out if you are an Ebayer. Love your Christmas cards!! I have done shopping but not cards for me…just cards for pubs…makes me think I should be making extra as I go – thanks!

  11. Great job getting started on the christmas cards. I especially love the 1st one. I made my own box using foamcore. It's not as good as a lightbox but not too bad for $1. Let me know if you want instructions and I'll see if I can dig them up -- they were from SCS.

  21. Wow! I can't believe you are already working on Christmas cards! Way to go! These are awesome.
I take all of my pictures outside without a flash with 2 pieces of White cardstock as backdrops. I use the "auto" edit feature of my camera software to lighten them up. I've found natural lighting is the best for my pictures.
