Crafty Critter Challenge - CCC2

Here is my entry into the challenge! Here were the rules:

The Challenge:

Your challenge (if you chose to expect) is to create a card of any size that include a a few of my favorite things. 1 - Use SCS Card Sketch 180, click HERE I love the sketch gallery, it gives us lots of inspiration

2 - Use pink and brown color combo, my fav color combo, as some of you know

3 - Include a flower on your card, it can be in your DP, a brad, diecut, prima, etc. I am always using flowers in my scrapbooking and card making.

4 - Use the image of your choice.

I don't know if I will still be in the running for the contest as it seems that I have forgotten #3 - and I JUST realized this as I am creating the post...duh! Oh well - I almost did it right!!

Rubber Bombshell Challenge!

We were to take the featured stamper (Michelle, AKA shellpole) and find inspiration! SOOOOO easy since her blog is full of amazing work!! I used a the card seen HERE for my inspiration - I love monochromatic colors. Hope you like!!

Swap Cards!!

My dual purpose card! :) I used this card for a month swap that had a Spring theme - I thought this was a light spring type card...It also works with the theme from last week's Fun-Frilled Blog...don't forget to check out the challenge that ends this week for some amazing blog candy!!!

Here is the final look - so much better than the before (bottom two pictures). There is an identical shelf wall on the other side of the closet. This way when you open it up you don't see everything right away!

This is what I started with....We had moved all my stuff around and around while we figured out what to do with the configuration of Ryley's room - AKA my old craft room!

A Great Friend Whom I Have Never Met

Okay - so I have no cards to show today...but I do have a story of a friendship that I am so glad I have found...

I always enjoyed doing the secret sister swaps on SCS because you get to shop for stuff that you wouldn't normally buy or try and it ends up being fun for everyone! I had to laugh this time because I had never met this person but she was my type already...had a NASCAR themed name. I love NASCAR!! I will admit I was kind of shocked at first because she was very particular in what she liked and disliked - but then again it was nice to have someone who did more than say "I like whatever you give me" and them secretly talk behind my back to her friends...yuck...

I visited her blog, I worked with her colors, and I made sure no stamps had to be colored...HAHA...

Well she told me she loved the stuff and it made me smile because some who isn't afraid to speak her mind would not hold back. I was relieved.

Well now we talk about each other on our blogs, are on the same AWESOME design team of Fun-Frilled and I can't say enough about the girl.

I have been at home with the new addition Ryley Ann and it has been great - but I have missed chatting with the girls and surfing the blogs and websites...and then the mail comes...A GIANT BOX!

I was showered with gifts, Abby was showered with gifts (and she loves her card - just adores it - she points at the sparkly scallop and says "Ooohh...Pretty Mama!"), and showered Ryley with gifts!!

I cannot say enough about my great friend Michelle whom I have never met but would love to.

Michelle you made tears come to my eyes because I only have a few people I consider the best of my friends....you are definitely one of them and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

She is finally here! All of us are doing well and Abby is still trying to figure out what everone is so excited about - she hasn't seen too much change except she only gets attention from one of us at a time!

Lots of Cards This Morning BEFORE 12:00!!

Okay this one looks odd becuase of the lighting...but they are the same cardstock!! Just different ribbon! I was feeling monochromatic like for the swap put on by my friend KAcopan - Mission Embossable...love the Cuttlebug!

Well of course you know who this is...found the DP in my drawer when I was cleaning...perfect use!

I am still waiting for the arrival of our second...Abby was 5 days late so if this one is anything like her sister we will see her on Sunday. Lets just hope we see her soon regardless!!

Lots of Cards To Show!

I am in a swap called Raining Bellas! on SCS where each month 4 people are named and we all shower them with Bellas...These are a few I made for the next month's winners....thought I should get ahead since I might not have too much time!

Here is one for this month's...I made some of the bubbles stand out by using the clear stuff that makes it shine...have no clue what it is called though!! I used all scraps - same for all the raining bella cards!

Here is a purple one I threw in to get us all thinking about spring and summer coming up!!

This cutie pie is from a swap where we send everyone in our group the image, the paper, and the embellishments - the card is up to you! Now the brown is overshadowing the pink base, but trust me it was cute...now to find a flesh colored marker!!!

This one is for a children's birthday swap...I picked a girl of course!!

Due Date!

Okay - so today is my due date...but nothing as of now...bummer! I did get another clean bill of health at the doctors though. I have also decided to take vacation until the baby comes becuase when I drive to work I am an hour and a half from the base hospital...just doesn't make me that comfortable!

I have not been nesting in the cleaning manner that most expect, but I have been wanting to cook and bake! YUMMY!

I wanted to make a mention that the Fun Frilled team is having a Baby Gril themed week in my honor!! How great - right??!! Sorry it has been a while ladies!! So crazy and uncomfortable right now!! I hope you all have been popping over to the Fun-Filled website - lots of greeat cards and ideas!! Here is the card I made in case you didn't get to see it yet...$1 Stamps, Bold Brights, glitter pen for the foam and lots of ribbon and 4 brads...who doesn't love Mardi Gras??

Here is another card I am working on finishing up for a masculine swap on SCS...love the stamp set - so doe smy husband - and the Harley Davidson raised diamond plate paper...Different and fun!

Now hopefully it won't be much longer until Abby has a little sister....at least I hope not!! Hug the one you are with - love you!
